Get outside, get active and see how many miles you can walk in September! Our focus this month is on wellness and how walking can benefit you both physically and mentally.

Join Teenage Helpline as we put our #BestFootForward this September!

Your mood can benefit from any form of exercise, no matter the intensity. Research has found that exercise, including walking, is key in boosting your mood and reducing feelings of stress, anxiety and depression. Getting active can also increase your energy levels during the day and help you to sleep better at night.

To help motivate you to grab your trainers and get outside, why not take part in Teenage Helpline’s ‘Best Foot Forward’ challenge?

What’s happening

Teenage Helpline volunteers will be seeing how many miles we can walk throughout the month of September, to encourage others to get up and get active, and to raise awareness of our vital mentoring services.

We’d love you to join us and see the benefits of walking and spending some time outside. We’d also love to see your pictures – our campaign focuses on wellness and how walking can benefit you both physically and mentally.

Walking with others can also be a great social activity, and we’d love to see you all taking part!

How to get involved

You can donate towards our target here. We’ve set ourselves a target of raising at least £300 – you can see how we’re doing on the progress bar above!

You can also join our team on Strava and get fit, have fun and do something for a good cause at the same time!
